The Milford Bank September 2018 Campaign for Milford Food 2 Kids raised awareness and funds to support many, many children and families in our town!
Our friends at The Milford Bank care so deeply about the well-being of Milford's kids. They raised over $21,000 to support kids who are food insecure.
Their compassionate leadership encourages and inspires generosity, and it was a joy to hear how employees and branches shared their gifts to raise money. We heard about delicious eggrolls and chowder for donations. We heard about casual Friday and sharing the Food 2 Kids story with others. And their Tip-A-Teller event at Gusto's was awesome.
They have become a constant presence at our packing events! Thank you, Nicole, at the Downtown Branch, for helping organize volunteer packers this season.
The list of thanks is extensive and we are grateful to each and every one of you.
For now, we are grateful that kids won't have to worry about what or if there will be something to eat this weekend or next or the next.
We are grateful that a little of the financial burden in households in our town can find relief, especially as they anticipate colder months ahead.
We are grateful for the investment into our community's future that The Milford Bank continues to make.
We are humbled by the generosity of such a caring and tuned in community.

Milford Food 2 Kids is an initiative of the First United Church of Christ, Milford, in collaboration with CT Food Bank, to attend to the needs of local children who have little or no food during the weekend away from school.
